BRIGHTON'S VERY BEAUTIFUL BIRDS

Thousands of starlings return to Brighton as winter sets in

The spectacular murmuration of starlings has become a regular feature of winter in Brighton.  The flocks can grow to as many as 40,000 birds by December.

The starlings come from as far away as Scandinavia, feeding over a 20-mile radius by day and coming together to roost at night.
