Elton John last played at Sussex County Cricket Ground in 2006 and once again he was met with hot temperatures and blazing sunshine. Elton was the Rock-It Man as thousands packed Sussex County Cricket Ground to see the Superstar belt out a whole host of hits. Elton told the crowd 'Its always sunny when I play here so I should play here all the time!' Elton also gave a shout out to nearby residents who could watch the concert from the comfort of their balconies overlooking the cricket ground. Wearing a black embroidered jacket and purple glasses, Elton was met with a host of lookalikes.
The Hove concert was one of only three shows the global superstar will put on in the UK this summer. The night was a particularly special one for Sussex County Cricket Club as they picked Elton John to be the first person to play there after a £7million refurbishment. The tickets sold like hot cakes - the show was a complete sell out within a few weeks.< Previous Next >
