Four-time Wimbledon Champion Serena Williams showed great fighting spirit at the Eastbourne International Tennis Tournament in Sussex!

True Champions are defined as much by what they achieve in adversity as when they are at the top of their game.  So it was for Serena Williams at Eastbourne as she made a winning return to tennis, overcoming rustiness and anxiety to secure her spot in the second round of the Eastbourne International Tennis Tournament.

It was a very worthy win for Serena Williams after almost a year out with injury and illness problems.  'It wasn't an easy match but more than anything I wanted to win.  Mentally I was there.  I could have done a lot of things better but that's okay.  I was anxious more than anything.  Anxious is when you want it so much, nervous is whe you are a little afraid.  I wasn't afraid, I really wanted it.' declared Serena.
