THE BRIGHTON AUGUST FESTIVAL

3 days of prestigious racing – the highlight of Brighton’s racing calendar is an experience not to be missed!

WEDNESDAY 3 AUGUST:  JOHN SMITH’S RACEDAY

The John Smith’s Brighton Mile is Brighton’s richest race of the year.  The Brighton Mile attracts some of the best in flat racing and one of the biggest crowds.

THURSDAY 4 AUGUST:  FROSTS LADIES DAY

Brighton’s most glamorous meeting of the year and the most stylish event in Brighton & Hove’s social calendar.  All the girls dress to impress!

FRIDAY 5 AUGUST:  ALBION IN THE COMMUNITY RACEDAY

The final day of the August Festival is the new Albion in the Community Raceday celebrating the opening of the Brighton & Hove Albion’s new American Express Community Stadium and raising money for the Albion in the Community – a donation from each ticket will go to the charity.

A fantastic family day out and a chance to meet former Albion players and Brighton legends including Guy Butters, Richard Carpenter, Danny Cullip and Michel Kuipers!  The raceday takes place a day before Albion kick-off the new season in the Championship.  Guy Butters hopes the excitement of the new season will result in the day being a massive success.  ‘The raceday is one of many events planned for the year. With a great range of activities available for all ages, the day will be a fantastic one for any seagulls fan.’  Activities include a meet and greet session with Albion players past and present, penalty shoot-outs, a Blues Brothers tribute act.
