Will Buckley's Last Gasp Winner

Albion players had an extra reason to celebrate their Christmas party night out in London!

Gus Poyet said that Albion did not deserve to win against Nottingham Forest, but praised his side's winning mentality which resulted in a dramatic 1-0 win at the Amex.  The Seagulls were not at their normal level of crisp passing but remained solid in defence, leaving Will Buckley to snatch a late winner and lift the side back into the play-offs.

Albion goal hero Will Buckley applauded the build-up play from Craig Mackail-Smith and Romain Vincelot, which set up his injury-time winner at the Amex.  Sub Buckley's 92nd-minute strike was the sides only shot on goal but proved decisive as the 21-year-old snatched a late winner for the second time this season.

Buckley said, ‘I really am delighted just to be involved again because I've been out for the last couple of weeks, so to come on and get the winner is amazing.  It wasn't just me though. Macca did brilliantly down the right and Romain played a brilliant lay-off for me, luckily I had time to think about it and pick the right shot. In the end it got past everyone which was a great feeling.  I had a few words with Macca and Romain after the game and thanked them because it was a great team goal. It was unbelievable play from Macca, he'd been running those channels all game and I have no idea where he gets his energy from.’

Albion are back up to sixth in the Championship following their third victory in eight days and third in succession at The Amex.
