MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT

And now for something completely different ...

The Theatre Royal Brighton has a long tradition of presenting top quality, star-studded West End productions, often before they have played London. A rich, mixed programme continues to bring drama, cracking comedies, renowned musicals and outstanding family entertainment including a spectacular Christmas Show. Theatre Royal Brighton also produces its own shows bringing high profile stars to Sussex.

This Christmas the Theatre Royal is presenting the international smash hit comedy SPAMALOT. SPAMALOT, a Tony award winning musical, runs until Saturday 14 January.  SPAMALOT tells the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and features a brace of beautiful show girls, witch burnings (cancelled - health and safety) not to mention cows, killer rabbits and French people. The show features more magical tunes than a Camelot convention, including He Is Not Dead Yet, Knights of the Round Table, Find Your Grail and Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life.

SPAMALOT stars Marcus Brigstocke as Arthur, King of the Britons, Todd Carty as Patsy and Jodie Prenger as the Lady of the Lake. All three are back in Brighton by popular demand after winning rave reviews when the show visited Brighton last year.  Monty Python’s SPAMALOT has so far been seen by more than 300,000 people in 47 weeks in 44 different venues across the UK and Ireland since the production began in May 2010.  The cast of 15 have so far “Looked on the Bright Side of Life” a staggering 765 times in more than 378 performances (and they still don’t know the words!).
